Film Screener Instructions for Filmmakers

This year the Estes Park Film Festival (EPFF) will screen all films off a Western Digital Media Player (Pictured Below).  This enables us to keep our workflow streamlined with no need for tape decks or DVD/Blu-ray players.

All screeners must be sent to us as a high-resolution  video and ACC audio file  - either HD or SD. The following movie file formats are preferred for 2011.

Most Preferred file type
* MP4/MOV (MPEG4, h.264)

Other preferred file types
* AVI (Xvid, AVC, MPEG1/2/4)
* MPG/MPEG
* VOB/ISO

1. Filmmakers can send their film in one of the above file formats on a DVDROM, thumb Drive or portable hard drive. Thumb drives and hard drives will be returned at the producers' expense.

2.  EPFF isn't responsible for files damaged during shipment. At the discretion of EPFF, a replacement may be requested from the entrant - shipping costs are paid by the entrant.

3.  Filmmakers can also email to info@estesparkfilm.com a secure link to their movie file utilizing a file hosting service such as www.box.net or www.yousendit.com  .

4.  Filmmakers who are unable to create a movie file in one of the above formats may send an authored DVD or Blu-ray disk instead to EPFF.  If possible, please author the disk with NO chapters.

5.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email us! Phone: 970-231-2580 Email: info@estesparkfilm.com
